Built for Bermuda.
Not adapted to it.

We build platforms the island actually needs.
Simple, reliable, and designed for how things work here.

What we believe

Small islands are often left out of the technology conversation.

Tools built for cities with millions of people do not translate to a country of 60,000. The economics are different. The expectations are different. The margin for failure is smaller.

We believe the answer is not to wait for overseas companies to notice Bermuda, but to build what the island needs ourselves. Own it. Operate it. Stand behind it for the long haul.

Every product we ship is something we use, maintain, and depend on. We are not building to exit. We are building to stay.

How we build

Security isn't something we bolt on later. It's where we start.

We don't track your movements, we don't harvest your data, and we don't sell your attention. Your data is yours. Full stop.

We build on open source because if you can read the code, you don't need to take our word for it.

Where this started

The studio is new in shape, not in experience. The work behind dotbm runs through more than one generation of Bermuda software, from local media and event apps to marketplaces, restaurant ordering and today's products.

2012

Chris ran web and media technology at VIBE 103, and the station won Bermuda’s Technology Innovation Award for Best Mobile Application that year.

2016

The Bermuda Heroes Weekend app launched for iOS and Android, and postit.bm gave the island a mobile-first marketplace.

2017

The company made the papers for the first time with pivot.bm, the companion app for the XL Catlin End-to-End, using geofences and iBeacons along the route.

2019

Orderin.bm launched: a Bermuda-specific restaurant ordering platform with a customer app and dedicated restaurant hardware. The original platform was privately sold in 2020.

2026

Wopnin launched, and the studio now spans weather, civic tools, payments, commerce and data.

Who we are

Chris & Lisa Bennett, dotbm

Chris

Been building on this island since he was 14. Never stopped. If dotbm shipped it, Chris wrote it.

Architecture, frontend, backend, infrastructure, deployment. Four products and counting, all built for how Bermuda actually works.

Lisa

Runs operations, client relationships, and delivery. If dotbm functions as a company and not just a collection of side projects, Lisa is why.

When a business needs Authorize.net set up, she is the first call and the last follow-up.

What we build

Platforms that solve real, local problems. From commerce and ordering systems to infrastructure, integrations, and data-driven tools, every product is designed to fit Bermuda first.

We develop, own, and operate everything we ship, working directly with local businesses, partners, and organizations to deliver systems that are practical, dependable, and built to last.

If it doesn't work here, we don't ship it.
